The Mahabharata Dream

Our team, ‘UnitStep’ have worked on making a game which is based on the mythological epic Mahabharata thus naming the game- ‘The Mahabharata Dream’. As we wanted to build the game which people would enjoy playing but at the same time, learn something out of it, we kept the target audience to be pre-teens. This game enables them not only to quench their thirst of joy but also to make something productive out of the same. The game starts with an old lady telling her grandson the story of Mahabharata while he falls asleep. In his dream, he enters into the character of Arjuna and is in class to obtain the knowledge about archery from his guru. There are 4 levels in the game first of which focusses on Arjuna’s archery skills. Here, the player has to aim the balls correctly and hit the target. As the number of arrows are limited, while requirement to reach a particular score, one has to cautiously aim the target. Second level is based in the intellectual capabilities of Yudhishthira where the player has to answer all the 5 questions (based on Mahabharata) that are posed to them. Third is based on the high appetite quality of Bheem where one has to catch as many fruits as possible for Bheema to eat while not collecting the worms and insects. Fourth and the final level is based on the combat skills of Nakula and Sahadev. Here one has to show their skills with sword and break the hard stones. By this we get to know about the various Mahabharata heroes. We have tried to build a game which does not focus on any 1 aspect in particular rather encompasses a wide variety of fields. This will ensure that the people are always facing some new challenges and don’t find the game monotonous. Thus, we believe that our game- ‘The Mahabharata Dream’ is a highly accelerated opportunistic game which will meet the inquisitiveness, joy and satisfaction within the audience.
